Dr Fadlullah Olayiwola, Issa is a Principal Extension Specialist in the National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Fadlullah obtained his PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology and Masters in Journalism from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; MSc in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Olabisi Onabanjo University; and Masters degree in Agricultural Policy and Administration from the University of Ibadan.
Dr Issa worked with Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority as extension worker from 1997 to 2009. He joined the service of NAERLS in 2009 as an Extension Specialist. He also lectures in the Departments of Agricultural Extension, Sociology, and Vocational and Technical Education in Faculties of Agriculture, Social Sciences, and Education, respectively of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
His research and development work delves into the uptake and dissemination of agricultural innovations in smallholder farming systems; participatory extension as well as sustainable agricultural policy. He has participated in several international and multidisciplinary development research projects. He is a member of many professional associations including AESON, RuSAN and NIFAAS. He has over 100 publications in both local and international journals.
Dr Issa is a seasoned extensionist and rural development expert. He is married with children.

Marc Ghislain Bappa Se is a Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist. He’s currently the lead consultant supporting the development of the WFDFI’s Knowledge Hub and the Cameroon Youth Initiative for Rural Development Team Technical lead that is providing support services for the development of the upcoming 2021 Africa-wide Agricultural Extension Week e-platform, organized by AFAAS.
Prior to those roles, he joined the Independent Development Evaluation Department (IDEV) of the AfDB as Knowledge Management, Communication and Events consultant. During his years of services at IDEV (2019-2021), he contributed to the production of over 20 evaluation reports, developed over 20 evaluative knowledge products, and led/supported in the organization of over 10 internal and/or widespread knowledge sharing and learning events. With more than six years of professional experience, Mr. Marc Ghislain Bappa Se also worked with other development organizations at various levels including CTA ACP-EU and FTF Africa Lead II Program.
He is member of different professional networks such as YPARD global, KM4Dev, CAMFAAS and is the Communications, Information and Knowledge Management focal person of the West and Central African Network for Agricultural and Rural Advisory Services.
He holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Yaounde I, Cameroon.

Elizabeth is an agricultural extension professional with close to 10 years of experience working in a range of agricultural related fields. Currently, she works at Makerere University as the project manager for the Gender-responsive Researchers Equipped for Agricultural Transformation (GREAT) project. She is also a Board member at the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS), where she also volunteers in the Communication, information and Knowledge Management Unit.
Her work experience ranges from promotion of agricultural inputs/agribusiness in the private sector, project administration management, research and communication work with interests in gender, ICTS, communication, human nutrition and adult learning. documentaire sur les services fournis par l’INRAB ; (iii) assurer la gestion

déconcentrées ; (iv) assurer la veille documentaire aux usagers/clients ;
(v) assurer la capitalisation des productions scientifiques des chercheurs ;

Miss Phidel Hazel is currently an Information Management professional with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees where she supports in establishing and maintaining an information management network and facilitates humanitarian information exchange as well as promotion of data and information standards.
Prior to the above, Phidel was a Programme Executive at Retouch Africa International, a consultancy firm specializing in Agricultural Policy and Institutional building, with an expertise in Project/Program development and Implementation, Strategic planning, Project/program Documentation and Environmental management as well as Knowledge management. She holds a Masters degree in Monitoring and Evaluation in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Monitoring, Planning and Management.
Phidel is a member of a professional youth networks such as – YPARD and is the Country Representative for Kenya, Africa – Korea Agripreneurs Business Network that promotes knowledge sharing and business collaboration between African and Korean agri-business entrepreneurs. She is also a member of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) Youth Network seconded by the Africa Union that seeks to engage African Youths into the implementation of the CAADP Agenda.

Headquartered in Ghana, F-BRIDGE has offices in five other African countries, since 2017 as Digital innovation and communication strategist and rural Youth and women business development program lead.
I have supported the establishment and management of more than 90 Skilling centers in Agribusinesses, Agri-institutions and Secondary schools across the country. These are mandated to provide practical skills training, social enterprises developments coaching, business development, pre and post training coaching and mentorship and job placements in order to foster mindset change and ultimately youth employment within the agriculture sector.

A Certified Knowledge Manager for sustainable development, Masereka is a passionate Farmer, Banker, Accountant, founder of YAFRA Uganda and Farm Digital TV with passion for agricultural development among the youth. A communications personnel for YPARD Uganda and contributor on various online media platforms writing on Agriculture, environment and youth affairs. Masereka is additionally a social entrepreneur nominated for the 2020 Top 40 under 40 Uganda awards. Masereka is passionate about ensuring that the much needed information required for the growth and development of the agriculture sector gets to the final users in the most convenient and efficient ways. Through Farm Digital TV, he engages with farmers who share their stories in a bid to encourage other people especially the youth to have a positive mindset towards agriculture. He is also working towards building a seamless knowledge gathering, dissemination and storage. Masereka looks up to building channels through which rural and smallholder farmers get all the right information they need to successfully run their agriculture projects.
I am a young Ugandan leader, presently serving as the supervisor for Money Transfer Services of Diamond Trust Bank, an agripreneur, Banker, Social Entrepreneur, Climate Activist. Management Officer
In this position, the following are under my jurisdiction including; Implementing NARO
knowledge management policy frameworks, developing appropriate knowledge sharing
platforms among NARO and stakeholders, conducting and updating knowledge mapping and
audit, identifying, capturing, documenting and disseminating good practices, successes and
failures and lessons learned from managing and providing research services. Other duties
include coordinating the capture and codification of process flows. Where possible, tacit
knowledge and creation of knowledge repositories and systems to facilitate reuse of
knowledge.
June 2017 to March 2018 National Crops Resources Research Institute (NaCRRI) Co – PI
Project: Developing a compendium for NAROs success stories since 1992.
Inventorising NAROs success stories since 1992 as well as a compendium of verified successful
interventions for eleven commodities.
June 2014 to June 2017 National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) – Knowledge
Management Specialist
While serving in this capacity, I was responsible for guiding NARO in the formulating and
implementation of a knowledge management policy and strategy. A NARO wide Communication and
Knowledge Management strategy was developed and ratified by both NARO top management and
the Governing Council waiting to be rolled out for implementation.
Communication and knowledge management implementation guidelines were also developed and
are yet to be presented to top management.
I was also responsible for implementing appropriate knowledge sharing platforms and establish and
coordinate knowledge sharing activities, conducting and updating knowledge maps and audits.
In order to achieve the above, I established four on line knowledge sharing platforms whose content
was monitored and updated on a regular basis. These platforms combined have attracted over seven
thousand (7,000) online followers who are interested in NAROs undertakings and the numbers
continue to grow.
I was also in charge of conducting and updating knowledge maps and audit using appropriate tools
With regard to the above, i was able to coordinate and establish NAROs communication and
knowledge status through conducting a knowledge audit. The finds from this audit exercise
informed the communication and knowledge management strategy.
Special assignments
Journal Manager (UJAS) – I served in this capacity for two years to date and during my term, the
journal attained an e- ISSN, it acquired a creative commons licence, it went on line being hosted by
Agricultural Journals On Line (AJOL) based in South Africa and also got an official journal web page
and email address. The journal was able to publish six (6) issues too.
Work plan coordinator – In this capacity, I served for one and a half years and was responsible for
consolidating all directorate work plans and thereafter submit to the central planning and monitoring
and evaluation office.
