"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my
children may have peace", said Thomas Paine. What could I do for my country? For Africa? For future generations? These questions have haunted me since my adolescence. And now I'm starting to get some of the answers by using my skills in communication, knowledge management, and agricultural digitalization to serve the community. Indeed, I'm currently the CIKM Facilitator of Forum du Conseil Agricole de Madagascar (FCA), and also leading a project about the use of drones for development.

OLUSOJI TEMITOPE OLOYEDE.
After earning my first and second degrees in Animal Science (Agricultural Biochemistry and Nutrition) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, I opted for another master’s degree in Information Science to explore my passion for information technology and its applications. In my exploration, I found myself in a field of opportunities where I could diversify into several areas of applications with my background study.
Voila, I got a job at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) after completing my studies—working with the digitization project team. Not satisfied with the level of exposure and realising my dreams, I strategically moved through the ranks to attain my present designation—Digital Knowledge Manager. Working at the IITA Knowledge Center, however, created opportunities to explore streams of knowledge in technology and sustainable agriculture and offered me occasions to participate in related projects while managing research information resources.
My name is Olusoji Oloyede. I am a man of many parts, a fast learner who is meticulous and ready to excel in every area of my endeavour. I enjoy bringing innovative solutions to technical challenges

Before Olumide decided to join IITA, he had already worked as a public relations officer in a health facility where he had put into practice the Linguistics knowledge garnered during his academic year as an undergraduate. To get an opportunity for an advancement, Olumide applied for a Masters programme in Information Science at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan Nigeria, where he focused on Information Literacy. This earned him a publication on “Information literacy of women on family planning in rural communities of Oyo State Nigeria” (https://doi.org/10.1177/0266666916661387).
Today, Olumide has been identified with the skills of information retrieval, document filtering, and information extraction.
